RE: A/c unit
I have done the conversion…..replacing the control board. Not difficult. Mine was to upgrade from 4 button to 5 button thermostat. Since then, I believe there is another upgrade from the five button.
It may be easier to check with a RV salvage company and replace with a similar older unit.

RE: HAZY windows in South Caroline
If you’re a DIYer there are repair kits on the internet that I have had good success with. It’s not a difficult job. Also most glass repair shops can repair/replace the glass however they may want you to remove it and bring it to there shop.

RE: Need Help! Can't get anyone to work on my F53 6.8 engin
My son runs a service center on the north side of Atlanta. If worse comes to shove you can tow it up to him. He’s not cheap but he’s good.

RE: Won’t start
Agree with you Wolfe….but I’m old school… when we stop at a rest area so the wife can walk the dog and I can stretch my legs , I like to do a walk around my idling engine to make sure everything sounds okay and there are no leaks, same goes for a fuel stop. I’ve run/operated/owned large diesel engines all my life. Shutting them off for a short stop just doesn’t sit well

RE: Won’t start
Leave it idle while fueling…leave it idle at rest stops unless you’re going to be there for more than 15 minutes. Shutting down diesels without a 5-10 minute idle is not good.
HOWEVER…I do not think this is your issue. You have something else going on. Check on a forum like Cummins engines on IRV2.
